Equestrian Stylist is excited to introduce the new fashionable and functional HYBRID Halter by Horse Education.
“Hashtag Rob” (Robbie) is thrilled with his new look and the comfort of this halter. #Rob is a 15.3H off-the-track Thoroughbred with a kind personality. He knows his place pretty well, but like many Thoroughbreds, he does tend to need a little tug here and there with a little more force. I’ve never been a fan of chain lead ropes in training due to their look and fit on the halter, so this new hybrid halter has a great way of solving the problem of “chain bunch” on the noseband.
The consistent fit and pre-signaling 180 degree sliding ring takes head torquing out of play, thereby eliminating your horse’s resistance to the halter itself so he can focus with clarity on your direction is key when training and lungeing.
Watch how the HYBRID Halter works below…
Use one halter for training, trailering, farrier work, leading in and out of the stall… you name it! You can cross tie in the Hybrid, you can do ground training in it. You can take it on and off like a bridle without undoing any knots or buckling any buckles simply by undoing the throat latch snap and sliding it over your horse’s ears like you would any bridle. Over multiple horses, it can be not only an effective training tool, but an effective time saver as well! The HYBRIDHalter® can also be used as a hackamore for riding: attach snap end reins to either the D’s of the halter, or to the 180 degree slide ring, based on your individual preference.
More features about the Hybrid Halter that I love about it are the following:
- The fashion-forward look and feel
- Supple saddle leather and contrasting stitching (I love the brown and cream combo)
- No need for a chain lead rope
- You always have control over your horse’s nose (no matter what!)
- This halter can be ridden in and will have a sidepull type action!
- Long working lead rope that can be used for lungeing as well
Personalizing tack adds just the extra-special touch and keeps it from going missing, especially if you board at a large stable. From saddles, bridles, blankets, trunks, you name it- it should be embroidered or tacked with a name plate! This personalized nameplate detail with etched studs on each side is elegant and classy.
The two noseband knots allow for the precise application of pressure and encouragement of lightness on the horse. With this new technique, it’s now easy to get the same response from your horse as you would in a bridle under saddle, but instead on the ground, without a bit in your horse’s mouth! Talk about a fun way to ride bareback instead of tacking up in a bridle!
The yachting braid rope is soft on the hands and makes training easier. It carries the signal and feel precisely and accurately to the horse. These ropes are hand crafted and treated (UV-coated and won’t stain!) I like the 14 foot length for effective groundwork, training, and lungeing.
The smooth feel of this lead rope is essential for training. No more rope-burn with this one!
The HYBRID Halter comes in all sizes from Foal to Draft with plenty of punched holes for adjusting to the right fit.
Even the MAIN man, Robbie (#RobtheOTTB), approves! The HYBRID Halter is a must-have for the horse show season! For more information or to purchase, please visit: https://shop.horseeducation.com/collections/hybrid-halter
