The 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Normandy, France are underway. Since they began August 3rd, Equestrian Stylist has kept an eye out for spectator and exhibitor style sightings, and here’s the top news:
Hermés, now in partnership with the United States Equestrian Team, has agreed to outfit the US Show Jumping Team for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. In the ring,US riders will wear a specially designed Hermés competition show jacket and breeches.
Outside, they may be seen sporting a Hermés baseball cap, polo shirt, or a Gore-Tex rain jacket. Their horses will wear a saddle pad and an ear net, each bearing the USET joint USEF/ Hermés logo. Check out these photos of the gear below. The Hermés non-competition horse and riding gear is available for purchase at this link.
Let’s take it back a level. Not everyone is lucky enough to rep his or her country in custom Hermés competition jackets, but maybe you want to rep the WEG spirit. We have just the thing. Check out some of these Normandy inspired polos, and jackets available for purchase through the USEF store or the Normandy 2014 official website.
If you’ve kept up with the competition, you’ve already seen world-class performances in dressage, para-dressage and reining. Germany took the title in dressage and para-dressage, while the US stole the gold in reining. WEG extends until September 7th, so many spectacular performances are still to come. Through the 15 day competition, the WEG will represents over 1000 horses in 10 different disciplines.
