Happy Friday y’all! It’s time to get playful in plaids this season. Cowgirls love plaid, but so do english style equestrians. Dress it up or down depending on your daytime or evening look. Riding boots are a standard shoe this season, and whether you wear your real riding boots or your “fashion” riding boots is up to you. Personally, I keep my real riding boots for the barn and horse shows only.
Saddle covers are great, and the Baker plaid is a staple classic in any equestrian’s tack room. I love mine, and it goes everywhere my beloved Butet saddle goes. PS, are those leather studded bracelets just fab?

An equestrian style plaid shift dress is classic and simple. I admit it, I’m such a “dress girl”– in fact, I even have a hard time wearing jeans in the fall. I usually wear dresses and tights when I’m not riding. The great thing about shift dresses is that you can layer them with turtlenecks and cardigans and still look classic and chic. How about a haute Hermes scarf to add some color? Love It!
Dress: Brooks Brothers.
Stretch Belt: Banana Republic.
Pelham Cross Body Tote: Ariat.
Horse bit Derby Bracelet: Fornash.
