We expect equestrian designs from brands like Gucci and Ralph Lauren, but we are also seeing a trend from new designers becoming more inspired by the equestrian industry, riders, and most importantly the Horse. History repeats, and the classic equestrian look is one that will never go out of style. The Equestrian Stylist is taking a look at the New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 trends and showcasing some of the newest equestrian inspired trends in mainstream fashion. Designer Herve Leger is using bridle and harness-like equestrian inspired belts and fastens on each look. Tall cut-out riding boots give more of an edgy equestrian look.
N. Hoolywood designer Daisuke Obana was inspired by Ernest Hemingway, however many gentleman equestrian inspired trends were found in this line aside from the fisherman-like inspiration:
I am loving the tall chestnut leather boots, khaki parkas and preppy inspired knits.
