Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas, from all of us at Equestrian Stylist. We invite you into a little inside look behind our family farm in Ocala, Florida, where… really, anything goes! Even our miniature horses get to open goodies during this time of year…
Every holiday we spend here on the farm with our closest and extended family members. We all get to experience running in the pastures, riding bareback, and playing with the mini horses and mini donkeys during the day. It’s the most exciting time during Christmas… Dressing up in wacky tacky holiday accessories is just one tradition we do here at Fox Meadow Farm in Ocala…
Here’s a fun photo of my family in our tacky Christmas outfits (from left: Andrew Cagle (my husband), Ashley Cagle (me), Robert Cline (my dad), Kathy Cline (my mom), Ross Thompson (my uncle) Ross Thompson Jr (my cousin), Amy Balius (my sister), Hunter Balius (my brother in law)
This is Blue Rock a.k.a. “Salsa”, my first green pony (small pony hunter) I got when I was ten years old. He’s now 27 years old, and happy as can be here on the farm in Ocala!
Meet Daphne-Doo, my Large Pony who I trained as a green pony and won numerous USHJA hunter jumper championships all over the country back in the day. She was top 4 in the country when we sold her back in 2004. She’s now about 20 years old as well, and I’ll still ride her bareback around the farm just like old times.
Meet Duke and Nole, our mini donkeys. Duke was named after the university my Dad attended, and Nole was named after the FSU Seminoles where my sister and I attended. These two are seriously inseparable…
The other inseparable match is Fonzi and Dibbs, the registered AMHA (American Miniature Horse Association) Miniature horses. Fonzi was born on our farm about twelve years ago, and Dibbs is a recent addition to the “Cline’s clan”. Fonzi is a stud, however he’s the smallest horse on the farm measuring in at just 28 inches tall. Dibbs is a gelding and enjoys Fonzi’s friendship and loves posing for the camera.
