Legacy-Create Yours Dedicates Hero Tee in Support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Like the cowgirls depicted in the gallery prints and inspirational wares they create, Legacy partners Amy Tanis and Jennifer Gray believe in tenacity. It’s what helps them in their new business venture, and what gave Amy the strength to battle the childhood cancer that has necessitated the bones in one of her legs to be replaced four times. In support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this month, Legacy will donate 20% of the proceeds from their Hero T-shirt to Compass to Care, an organization dedicated to scheduling and paying for travel arrangements families require to seek the best cancer care for their children.
The Hero T-shirt features the phrase: “You’re already a hero, now what?” – and underneath the photo has the statement: Supporting the Annihilation of Cancer, voicing the company’s belief that all children fighting cancer are heroes. The T-shirt comes in fitted and comfy sizes and is of highest quality cotton, in a ‘destroyed’ style that gives them their vintage feel. The Hero T-shirt includes artwork with a soft touch, direct to garment print on front and the back includes the company’s tag line: Legacy – Create Yours.
More than 42% of families have a parent that either gives up or reduces employment to care for their child with cancer. “Transportation costs to and from the hospital for treatments can be devastating,” said Legacy Co-Founder Amy Tanis. “Our hope is that by supporting Compass to Care, we can significantly impact these families and children battling childhood cancer.”
