The Breeders’ Cup 2015 is just around the corner and is sure to be an unforgettable experience! On October 30th and 31st the event will take place at Keeneland, one of the world’s most legendary racetracks, in Lexington, KY. The idea for the Breeders’ Cup originated in Central Kentucky, and many of its champions were raised at neighboring horse farms and sold at Keeneland sales, making this event a historic homecoming.
First post begins Friday the 30th at 12:30 pm EST with five undercard races leading up to the Breeders’ Cup Longines Distaff at 5:35 pm EST. Day 2 begins Saturday at 11 am EST leading up to the much awaited Classic, starting at 5:35 pm EST.

What To Wear
The Breeders’ Cup 15 will feature the very best in Thoroughbred racing and the very best in fashion. Ladies and gents will go all out for the Breeders’ Cup sporting their most elegant attire. Dressing for Lexington weather will be important to remember. With overnight lows in the 40’s and daytime highs in the 50’s and low 60’s, fall colors and comfortable layers will be most appropriate. Choose a chic and classic dress paired with a scarf or stylish coat to stay warm. Headware will be the highlight of the ladies attire, from lovely wide-brimmed, ribboned hats to elegant fascinators. Men can accessorize their suit ensembles with a classic fedora or an impressive bowtie.

Get a sneak peak behind the scenes of some of Kentucky’s most iconic farms and learn a little family history about this year’s Breeders’ Cup runners.

Cigar Statue Dedication
A statue will be unveiled in honor of one of the greats in racing history: Cigar. Racing fans won’t want to miss the dedication to this champion.

Come see the Kroger Floral Design Center create custom garlands using rare combinations of Asters, Cremons, and Cattleya Orchids. From 10 am t0 7 pm at the Versailles Marketplace store, get a behind the scenes look at how these gorgeous arrangements are made.

Kentucky Ale Stage
International and local musicians will be performing free shows all week in celebration. The music starts at dark and continues until 10 pm on the Kentucky Ale Stage downtown in the heart of the city.

A celebration of food, music, and drink at the newly renovated Red Mile, this bash is not one to miss.
