Are you ready to be Grand Prix Chic at the Hampton Classic? Go big or go home with your outfit choices… This is the last Summer-hurrah before Fall hits!
Either watching from the grand stands or the VIP tent, one can never be “too dressed up” at the Hampton Classic. Remember when attending any Grand Prix, equestrian style is timeless and classic. What one might think is “trendy and hot” at the club, is usually not “the look” at the Hampton Classic.
From trendy to classic fashion, Hunt Ltd has apparel for every occasion. For the active equestrian that wants to put on something comfortable and casual, to the spectator who wants to look extra special on Grand Prix Sunday, the options are endless. I chose a very feminine frock by Rebecca Taylor to dress up for a Grand Prix look for the Hampton Classic.
The Look:
Dress: Rebecca Taylor
Hat: Métier Crafts Straw Hat
Clutch: Annabel Ingal ‘Leyla’ in indigo
Necklaces: Extra long gold and silver beaded- Hunt Ltd
Gold Wedges: Jack Rogers
Adding a pop of color with a bright accessory like the leather clutch from Annabel Ingal, the “Leyla” in indigo creates a point of interest in the outfit.
A lightly curled pony tail and a hat is a clean look for Grand Prix Sunday to stay cool and fresh all day. Sometimes it can get a little warm during the day, so keep that in mind when styling your hair.
Some of the top riders to be competing this year in the $250,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix CSI4* are: Mclain Ward, Shane Sweetnam, Georgina Bloomberg, Beezie Madden, Molly Ashe-Cawley, Todd Minikus, Kevin Babington, Victoria Colvin, Peter Leone, and Margie Engle. Be sure to stay to catch the Longines Rider Challenge on Sunday as well. So far, Shane Sweetnam is in the lead!
The Hampton Classic Horse Show is absolutely the best way to end the summer. Held in high regard by the horse community, famous for its Hamptons Celebrity sightings, and second to none in high end shopping boutiques, it earns its nickname The Classic. Starting at 9AM, the hunter rings are off to an early start, but the main event starts at 2PM Sunday. If you can’t attend, be sure to catch the live stream online starting at 2PM on the Hampton Classic website here.

Love the outfit! I love Rebecca Taylor dresses and this is perfectly appropriate for equestrian events! As an avid equestrian myself, I would die to go and watch the Hampton classic! It would be such a thrill to watch all those athletes compete in person!
Hope you enjoyed it!
