Introducing… Charlotte’s Saddlery: with a “small town” feel in the middle of the big city of Houston, Texas. Charlotte’s Saddlery is owned by two twin brothers Mark and Tim who have clearly distinguished a true southern charm of service at Charlotte’s. Every time I walk in to the store (which is quite often) I always hear someone greet me by name and am welcomed as part of the Charlotte’s family. Between the warm welcome and quality products, Charlotte continues to thrive in the equestrian industry.
Even though I have been shopping at Charlotte’s for years, I was curious to get the inside scoop into what was trending for the Fall/Winter equestrian forecast. Both Mark and Tim unanimously agreed that there was a definite increase in riding boot sales for the upcoming season. They stated, “the increase would be in tall (all weather) types of boots. Rubber boots and some of the trendy Dubarry and Dublin lifestyle sport boots are good examples of the fashion all weather boots.” Helmets are also another riding apparel product that seems to be flying off the shelves. They explained how the helmet color choices, designs and pricing was all over the board and that years ago the consumer did not have the choices that they have these days. Due to the fact that riders have more helmets to choose from, some people are now using a different helmet at the farm than they do in the show ring.
