A beautiful weekend in Wellington, Florida marked the end of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival 2013. Riders from all over the world transport to show at the creme-de-la creme of equestrian facilities for the Nations Cup. Despite the rain on Saturday afternoon, the weather held up with lots of sunshine and easterly breezes.

Vendors from all over the world come in to showcase new products for both the horse and rider. Flower boxes lined the arena in lavender, ivory and emerald colors. Beautiful footing by ESI completes each of the rings at the Palm Beach Equestrian Facilities and keeps the riders and horses happy on the ground.

White gloves are worn to coordinate with white stock ties and white breeches creating a classic and traditional equestrian look.
Watching Dressage at the Grand Prix level is fascinating, especially if you are used to riding or watching other equestrian disciplines. These horses truly look like ballerinas floating across the grounds. Both horse and rider complement each other with elegance and grace.
Because the Global Dressage Festival is held in Wellington, Florida, the weather can be quite humid and warm. If you are attending as a rider or spectator, be prepared to pack lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and of course a swim suit for a visit to the beach after-the-show.
