Currently, we are in the midst of re-designing a home in Wellington, FL. Yes, THE Wellington, Florida– the winter horse capital of the world! I can’t wait to share what our home will be like, but in the process, I’d like to share some inspiration with you here. Elegant soft whites accented with light blues and saddle leather touches bring in the perfect light and dark color palette for a fresh look in the home.
The horse bit leather curtain pulls are so simple, yet classic!
Wood-look tile is also one of my favorite new flooring options. It’s comfortable on the feet, and gives the feel of a barn without being too expensive. The upkeep on the wood-look tile is much easier than traditional wood flooring, too! *Score*
A large-scale equestrian art piece makes an impression as a focal point of the room. Make an impact with a beautiful dappled gray horse portrait or a herd of running horses for the living room wall.
A rustic farmhouse-chic console table can be a great touch to add coastal or farmhouse accessories depending on the location of your home. Since we are in Florida, we may dress it up with some coral or seashells to add to some coastal tradition.
The dream kitchen will consist of white cabinets, a soft grey granite, and light blue-grey colored walls.
Natural rugs with soft personal pillow touches. Barn wood accent shelves and key holders are a great way to add character in an entryway.
