Excitement continues to build ahead of the Cheltenham festival in 2021, which takes place in just a few weeks’ time. The go news is that the event is set to go ahead but it will be without spectators, due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is something we have seen across endless sports around the world, with fans now slowly returning but we are still a long way of normality. It is leading to even more support in the online markets on the upcoming event, with fans using the betting sites here in order to support their favourite horses and the ones they fancy. So, with this being the case, here we cover a number of horse’s worth following and expected to take all the beating at the festival.
Monkfish
The first horse to mention is Monkfish, who heads into the Brown Advisory Novices chase as the short priced favourite on day two of the festival. The seven year old is trained by Willie Mullins, who appears to have one of the strongest teams he has ever assembled for the festival and Monkfish is one of his strongest contenders for the victory. He landed the Albert Bartlett at the festival last season and has since returned in much improved form over fences, which he appears a natural. Monkfish has won his three starts over fences, that includes a recent 11 length victory, which firmly pushed him as the horse to beat at the festival.

Envoi Allen
Another horse is Envoi Allen, who heads into the festival as the banker for most. He will be running in the Marsh Novices chase on the Thursday and the seven will also be looking to maintain his unbeaten record. Envoi Allen has now won all of his 11 starts under rules, which also includes two victories in succession at the festival. The first coming with a gutsy victory in the Champion bumper, before him again winning in the Ballymore novices hurdle last year. Envoi Allen has now won each of his three starts over fences this season and looks levels above the opposition, so is surely going to again take the world of beating at Cheltenham.
