It’s that time of year again, it’s back to school and fall fashion trends are in session. Break out the fashion riding boots, plaid prints and leather details. We’ve selected our favorite trends this season straight from the runway. Each year we’re always most enthused to see the equestrian style influence in mainstream fashion!
Riding boots, leather detail, horse patterns, and western detailing are our top trend this Fall 2018. We can’t resist the new Kate Spade equestrian style collection. Hermes is branching out from it’s typical English equestrian style and featuring some western equestrian detail this fall. Derek Lam was inspired by the relationship of women and horses. Lam stated after the fashion show, “I tried to find something inspiring about relationships, so I did the relationship between a woman and her horse,” he said. “They always tell me it’s amazing because it’s about sharing power, but ultimately respect.”
From bright colors to muted color palates, plaid is in session this fall and brings us back to our preppy roots. You’ll see a mix of 80s – 90s inspired styles peeping through in the Versace collection. We love the ‘Ivy-league Pop’ feel of the Sara Battaglia capelet jacket and pleated skirt.
When Fall comes around and the temperatures start to drop, the statement coats come out! Whether you like a classic trench or a cape style, get a bold statement coat for your outings in the cooler temperatures. Versace, Hermes, and Nanette Lepore all came out with caramel colored coats that are classic and fitting within the equestrian community.
Tweed is always one of our favorite textiles. We’re loving the ruffle detail on the Alessandra Rich suit. The pop of pink in the Chanel suit is feminine and elegant. Select a fun color style in a tweed this fall and be different!
From cow patterns to leopard prints, yep… They’re back! Glam it up with some bright colors like rich jewel tones and sequins for a fun night out on the town.
